Title: School Travel & Transport Post Experience Certificate Distance Learning Course FLEXIBLE START DATES

Details:

With more than 8 million young people in the UK, and almost all travel daily to and from school or college, increasingly the challenge is to ensure that they have a choice in their access to learning, that their travel is safe and sustainable. For local education authorities, school transport and school travel represents a significant expenditure – now more than £1 billion for England alone, and rising and they need to demonstrate value for money.

This course is designed for students to take the whole course over a year, with two modules each term. Although each module can be taken individually, we would recommend taking the whole course to provide an overview and context. A discounted rate for taking all modules is offered and links will be made between courses for example the module on sustainable travel will look at how that can include pupils with special needs; the 14-19 module will link with the safety issues for particular age groups.

Students must complete modules within given timescales and demonstrate their understanding of each topic through a concise assessment report, which will also form a basis for reference in the working field. Guidance and support will be available to students throughout the coursework and assessment via internet/e-mail, to ensure students achieve individual Module aims and objectives.
