Fee: £800 with assessment, £375 without assessment

Accreditation: You will receive 15 points from the British Academy of Audiology (BAA).

Through our Flexible Credit Accumulation scheme, completion of this course will also provide you with 20 credits towards the Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology (60 credits), the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology (120 credits) and the full MSc in Rehabilitation Studies (180 credits in total).

About the course

This two-and-a half day course aims to provide audiologists with the knowledge, skills and resources to help patients develop their communication skills. The course involves the following workshops:

  • Workshop 1: A review of current theories relating to teaching, learning and assessment and their application to adult learning
  • Workshop 2: An exploration of communication skills training as part of aural rehabilitation and discussion of methods and material required to teach adults communication skills
  • Workshop 3: Discussions focussed around student teaching sessions.
