Clubs, tours and competitions

Our 35 plus sports clubs are run by the Guild Athletic Union, and all will be looking to recruit new members during your first week at Aston. 

Many of the clubs compete in the British University Sports Association (BUSA) Leagues, but also organise lots of events and friendly games for the less competitive members!

Over weekends and during holidays, clubs are involved in many exciting and sometimes exotic trips. In the past few years The Cobras (Men’s rugby) have toured Florida and the Cayman Islands, The Unicorns (hockey) have competed in Barbados, The Stags (football) in Tenerife, Hungary and Spain and The Vipers (Women’s rugby) in France and Eire. Overseas trips are common for other clubs too, such as the Skiing and Snowboarding, and the Sub Aqua clubs. 

There are a huge variety of clubs at Aston, some of which are listed below. If you get to Aston and find there's no club for your favourite sport, you can set a new one up!
