Being a relatively small university it’s very easy to become involved in clubs and societies, all of which are run by students for students. With around 80 to choose from you’re bound to find a club or society to suit you, and if you can't, you can set one up!
Clubs and societies are a perfect way to meet new friends, try something that you’ve never done before and can even enhance your career prospects.

RAG
RAG (Raise and Give) are the people who put the fun into fund-raising, raising money for charity and helping with various community projects.
Aston RAG raises thousands of pounds each year and has collected numerous ‘best RAG’ awards over the years from different charity organisations. RAG Week is the highlight of their year, in which nearly all Aston students are involved, either through one of the many fund-raising activities, or by attending the special evening events in their pyjamas, beachwear or other imaginative clothing at the infamous ‘Freakers’ Ball’! Aston RAG is regarded as one of the top 5 RAGS in the country; very impressive considering Aston’s size in comparison with other universities.
