Aston Students' Guild

Aston students are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking on and around campus. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and shops whose prices and menus are set with students in mind - student discounts are often available!

On campus

The Students’ Guild is a great place to eat. B4, which was recently completely refurbished, serves a variety of good value pub meals and snacks including fish and chips, chilli con carne, pizza, burgers, jacket potatoes and much, much more. If time is short, the Students’ Shop sells a good range of sandwiches and snacks and there is also a Subway Sandwich Bar.

In the Main Building the recently opened Cafe Tierra serves hot and cold food and snacks, and it's also home to a Costa Coffee. Student common rooms with vending machines are also situated around campus.

Near campus

Within five minutes walk of campus you can find cheap eats at a variety of places - choose from Italian, French, Chinese and Indian. There are also several pubs serving good food throughout the day.

Venturing further into the city centre, Birmingham offers plenty of food choices.

Supermarkets

For those times when you would rather cook for yourself, there is a small supermarket on campus run by the Students’ Guild. There are several late-opening supermarkets within walking distance of campus, and the Bullring market is the best place in Birmingham to pick up fresh fruit and veg.

Larger superstores are only a short bus ride away from campus, and if you're weighed down with bags you can share a taxi back with your flatmates! The University also runs a minibus service in Welcome Week to the nearest large superstore to help you stock up.
