Scholarships for 2013 Starters


We're investing over £4 million in our scholarship programmes to help ensure that anyone who is qualified to come to Aston University can do so, regardless of their financial circumstances.

We estimate that over 65% of our UK students will be eligible for a scholarship from Aston University of between £1,000 and £8,000 in total over the length of their course. 

Choose how you want your scholarship money

Our scholarships now give you a choice of:

  • a discount on Aston University accommodation fees, OR 
  • a discount on tuition fees, OR
  • a cash bursary 

Scholarships during your placement year are focused on tuition fee discounts - making the placement year fee free for the majority of our students.

Who can get a scholarship?

Our scholarships are based on your household income and/or academic performance. Most are not limited by number, so if you're eligible, you'll get a scholarship.

Scholarships are available for eligible Home or EU students applying for 2013 first year entry onto a full-time undergraduate course.  Find out more about scholarship eligibility.

Please note

  • If eligible, you can receive an Aston Excellence Scholarship and a household income-based scholarship

  • If you are eligible for more than one type of scholarship, the full £1,000 placement year tuition fee waiver only applies once.

* You may still be eligible for a placement scholarship.
