ASTON WELCOME WEEK                                                                  

At the beginning of the first year, Aston Welcome offers a series of activities before teaching starts to help students settle into the academic life of the University, make new friends and find their way around campus with confidence. During Aston Welcome you will go through the formal enrolment process and learn how to use the academic facilities, such as the Library.

For the academic year 2012/2013, Aston Welcome begins with a  compulsory week for International and EU students called International Orientation. Students arrive from Saturday 15 September ready to join in with Orientation activities and enrolment from Monday 17 September. International Orientation allows International and EU students extra time to settle in before being joined by the new UK students.

The following week is Freshers’ Week starting with UK students moving into their campus rooms on Saturday 22 or Sunday 23 September. Freshers’ Week kicks off on Monday 24 September with activities of various sorts on every day right through to, and including, the Guild’s Freshers’ Fair on Sunday 30 September 2012.
