Fariba Khorrami Dastjerdi, from Iran. Fariba studied the IFP before her degree in Pharmacy (MPharm), at the Aston School of Life and Health Sciences.
“The IFP was really helpful for me as it was a chance to improve my English and get used to the British university environment. It gave me the confidence to go onto my first year at Aston. There are students from many academic disciplines, everyone was friendly and we helped each other. I am very happy with the multicultural environment here, you go around the campus and you can see faces from all over the world. I am part of the mature students’ society which organises trips and there is a common room to work with students from the year above. At Aston they challenge your abilities. Before I wasn’t sure if I could succeed, now I am much more confident. If you want something you can do it.”
