Naturally moving away from home to live in Birmingham was a daunting experience, but I felt home at once. The friendly atmosphere and approachable nature of people meant it wasn’t long before I started enjoying myself. During Welcome Week the ‘Aunties’ went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and considering they themselves had been in the same situation not so long ago, it was very reassuring.
Pharmacy is very intense course and so the support that is provided by lecturers is really important. They're always willing to lend a helping hand at the end of every lecture.
Aston caters for all your needs: whether it is academic such as the library, the guild for your social life and The Hub to make sure your finances are kept on track. It is a friendly small knit community that allows you to meet and socialise with people from many different cultures.
Choosing to live, study and experience Birmingham has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! Aston has become a part of me and I cannot wait to see what the future holds in store for me next.
