Progression opportunities
As a foundation degree graduate you will have many different options. You may decide to progress onto a full Honours degree, or go on to take further professional development programmes. Our progression programmes are designed to help you develop strong academic and vocational skills to boost your long-term employment prospects or to change career.
Electrical Power Engineering Foundation Degree graduates may progress to our BEng Professional Engineering (Power Systems) degree, which is a work-based learning programme offered on a part-time basis, typically over two years. There is limited attendance on campus at Aston University and therefore students must be based within the UK.
Aston University also offers BEng Mechanical Engineering Systems or BEng Electrical Engineering Systems for students with relevant prior qualifications, such as Foundation Degrees in relevant subjects, including manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electronics and control.
