The University Counselling Service is a
well established, professional service, staffed by qualified and
experienced counsellors. The service is available to all
current students and is free, easy to access and confidential.
Meeting with a counsellor offers the opportunity to talk about a
range of issues that may be affecting you either personally or in your
work as a student. Such issues may include relationship difficulties,
anxiety, loss of motivation etc.
Counsellors do not generally give advice, or tell you what to do –
rather, the counsellor’s role is to help you understand your
difficulties, and begin to think about any changes that you may wish to
make which will improve your situation.
