Health, welfare & support

We offer a wide range of services geared towards ensuring your time at Aston is a success in academic, social and personal terms. These services are available whether you are living on or off campus.

Government and independent assessors have consistently praised the quality of our support and welfare services, which contribute to Aston having one of the lowest drop out rates in the UK and a reputation as a friendly, supportive campus University.

Our close-knit University community on campus helps to ensure that our students know where and who to turn to if they have a question or problem.

Aston's Disability & Additional Needs Unit provides practical help and support to students with disabilities and additional needs.

Aston Student Advice Point

The Aston Student Advice Point (ASAP) brings our key student support services together in a single place, making it easy for you to access support and information.

The friendly and experienced ASAP team can deal with most non-academic issues and services are confidential.  If they are unable to help directly, they will always refer you to someone who can help.

ASAP is open throughout the day during term-time and you can drop-in to speak to a member of the team, use the resource centre or access the internet for free on our suite of computers.
