Aston warmly welcomes international postgraduate students and recognises the valuable contribution they make to academic life at the University.
There are currently over 700 non-UK students enrolled on postgraduate programmes at Aston from 100 countries around the world, providing a lively and dynamic academic and social environment.
International students are especially attracted to study in the UK as Masters Programmes typically take a year to complete compared to many other countries, where Masters programmes can take two years to complete. UK Masters are intensive programmes and students are expected to focus as soon as they start.
The challenges and rewards offered are great. It also means a shorter period of study (and, therefore is more cost-effective with regards to living costs and loss of earnings) and an opportunity to secure earlier employment!
