Every University student is required to pay fees according to the programme they attend or the research they pursue.
All fees are composite and include:
How much are fees?
Fees vary for research and taught programmes and from programme to programme. The contact listed against each programme will advise you on the most up-to-date estimate.
When do I have to pay?
For most programmes, fees can be paid in full at the start of the academic year or by instalments – details are provided when an offer of a place is made. If your fees are being paid by a sponsor, you will need to provide documentary evidence of this when you enrol.
Where can I obtain funds to support my postgraduate studies?
Funds may be obtained from:
-
A research council
-
A government department
-
A Local Authority
-
A charity
-
A School of Study at Aston University
-
Banks offering loan schemes such as Career Development Loans
-
A professional body offering Development Loans (eg AMBA – the Association of MBAs)
-
The Schools Competition Act Settlement Trust (for the 2009/10 academic year, the SCAST is offering two three year research awards at £15,000 a year and 125 awards of £2,500 for one year's postgraduate or second degree study).
Additional sources of funds are also available for international students.
