The Disability & Additional Needs Unit (DANU) can provide:

Appointments for a dyslexia assessment with a qualified educational psychologist

Study skills help from a Dyslexia Support Tutor

Advice and support in your application for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) or other funding

Advice on computer software available, and provision of quotes for your application for DSA

Advice on equipment available, and assistance with purchase

Liaison with the Examinations Office and your academic department on your behalf to make individual exam arrangements

Study support workers e.g. note-takers, readers or other study support

An arrangement with the library to enable you to extend book loans
Aston students who think they may have a learning difficulty, but have not received a diagnosis, can contact our Disability Co-ordinator for advise and, if appropriate, a diagnostic assessment.
