Thursday 8th July 2010 - Aston University

Aston University is delighted to be one of eight leading UK Universities to be a partner in the Pure Potential Initiative.

Aston University hosted one of eight high profile Pure Potential Student Conferences in July 2009 along with LSE, Imperial College London, University of Manchester, University of Leeds, Newcastle University, Cardiff University and the University of Southampton.

The event organiser, Pure Potential, aims to give the brightest sixth form and college students from the state sector, support with University choices and careers paths. The event is supported by 40 of the world’s leading graduate employers and organisations including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, M&S, Allen & Overy, the Civil Service and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The day is divided into two parts: i) University, which will look at the decision making process, writing a personal statement, finance and developing communication skills; ii) Careers, what a job area involves, the application process and an opportunity to liaise with employers.

Booking to attend these events is ESSENTIAL and must be done individually by students via the Pure Potential website at www.purepotential.org

The 2009 Conference held at Aston attracted over 500 delegates.  If you would like any further information regarding future events at Aston University or at an alternative institution, please visit the Pure Potential website or contact Pure Potential directly on (020) 7491 9177 or email info@purepotential.org
