Campus Tours & Independent visits

In addition to our General Open Days, visits to Aston University are also welcome at other times. For example, we host a number of informal campus tours for individual potential applicants throughout the year, as well as opportunities to look around campus on your own with our self guided campus tour.

Informal Tours

If you have already applied to Aston University through UCAS and are offered a place at Aston University then you will be invited to a subject specific post-application Open Day, organised by our Schools of Study. These days will give you in depth information about the course that you wish to study, as well as a campus and accommodation tour. Please click here for further information.

Our Informal Campus Tours are given by current Aston students and include student accommodation, academic, sporting and social facilities, followed by a chance to meet Schools and Colleges Liaison staff who will answer any general queries that you may have. Please note that tours do not include subject specific information or tours of academic departments, although we do try to arrange Q & A sessions with Admissions Tutors to discuss general admissions and course queries.

Unfortunately the dates for our Informal Campus Tours have now passed. However, you are still welcome to visit the University and complete self-guided campus tour instead. Please see below for further information about the self-guided tour.

Looking around the campus independently

We have a self guided campus and city tour leaflet – so prospective students and their families are able to take a look around the campus on their own. The Schools and Colleges Liaison Office at Aston can provide self guided tour sheets, prospectuses, course brochures and offer general advice about the University. We are located on the Floor 2 of the South Wing, Main Building, just above the main reception of the University in the Main Building. You are welcome to come in and see us during normal office hours or contact us (below) for further information.

Please note that new facilities are currently being built on campus. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused and observe any no entry or diversion signs.

The Aston University campus is of course also open at weekends/evenings although many buildings and facilities are only open to our students/staff so have restricted visitor access at these times. Therefore it is usually best to visit us on a weekday if possible. If you would like a copy of the self-guided tour sheet then you can either pick one up when you arrive at the University, or e-mail us g.clark@aston.ac.uk with your name and full postal address (including postcode), and we can get one sent through to you. You can also telephone us on 0121 204 4772.
