Public Relations agency working with clients in a range of industries including healthcare, financial services, jewellery, community equipment and individuals.
How did you get started?
I completed a placement year as part of my degree at Volkswagen Group in the SEAT Press Office, and after graduation went on to an in-house comms role for a biotech before moving to an agency role at global London agency Ogilvy. I worked my way up from Account Manager to Associate Director in three and a half years. I started freelancing for myself in 2009 after the birth of my first child, and quickly went from freelancing to working directly with clients and establishing a business. I had my second child in 2010 and after a few months off the business took off and is now a Limited company.
The highs are working for myself, the buzz and satisfaction of building something. There haven't really been many lows yet!
How has your time at Aston helped you and your business?
I have some great times at Aston and am still in touch with four of my best friends, one has since moved away to Australia and three were my bridesmaids.
Without the placement year l truly don't think l would be where l am today - it gave me that all-important year of experience upon graduation.
