Motivated by the need to provide additional, modern, safe and social University managed accommodation, Aston University is undertaking an exciting new development with new all en-suite "State of the art" bedrooms. In January 2008 work began to build the new student accommodation and as part of this £215 million development saw the removal of Dalton and Lawrence towers and the low-rise accommodation. The development should be complete by 2013 when the final remaining tower will be removed.
The development also incorporates new sports pitches, common rooms, laundry rooms and landscaping. And the building is designed with new features such as wind turbines and storm water recycling
The accommodation has set new standards in design and security (BREEAM) enabling students to enjoy the best in city centre, on campus living, complementing the vision of one of the UK's top ranking universities.
