Types of Accommodation


For 2013/14 there will be a choice of three types of accommodation available:

William Murdoch Residences, James Watt Residences, Mary Sturge Residences and Harriet Martineau Residences - 5 bed en-suite flats (larger beds)

William Murdoch Residences, James Watt Residences, Mary Sturge Residences and Harriet Martineau Residences - 7 bed en-suite flats

Lakeside -  6 - 10  bed en-suite flats

Please Note: The system will ask you to make four preferences at present, so please make Stafford Tower your 4th choice to enable you to complete the application process.

The accommodation consists of en-suite 5 and 7 bed units with shared kitchen facilities. The 5 bed units have 3/4 size beds and additional storage space and the 7 bed units have single size beds.

Lakeside en-suite

At Lakeside, if privacy is important to you, Lakeside’s en-suite rooms provide it, with your own shower, toilet and wash basin. There are television points in each bedroom. Students share kitchen facilities.

Special needs

There are a number of rooms adapted on campus for students with special needs and these are situated in Lakeside and the New Residences. If you have a disability and require an adapted room please notify accom@aston.ac.uk

Annual Rent 2013/14

We inform you of the annual rent and the total number of weeks of the Licence Agreement. If you are thinking of off campus accommodation, you should check that private providers do the same
