By 2015 the city will have a £600million redeveloped transport hub in New Street station, a £65million runway extension at Birmingham Airport, the largest public library in the UK and High Speed Rail is expected to be on the statute books. Added to this, major retail investments including a £100million John Lewis store and a planned £120million leisure and entertainment complex at the NEC, and 2015 is set to be a significant year for Birmingham.
