Student Welfare and Wellbeing
are at the Heart of all we do

At Aston we pronounce that student well-being and welfare goes hand-in-hand with both physical and mental health as well as your academic success. Therefore, we tend to the needs of Aston students in all these areas.

By doing so Aston promotes the holistic well-being of all our students. Through our varied programs and projects, ranging from campus safety, academic success, retention, and awareness about issues give the students the related information to improving health and well-being of others.

The Residential Services team are here for YOU! and are committed to making your living experience in University accommodation the best it can be! If you need assistance there is always a friendly face and staff who are willing to listen! 

A Residence Officer is based at each of the Residences and is available Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm to deal with accommodation, maintenance, general matters relating to residences, offer advice and support, whatever the issue, and signpost to other support services available at Aston.

The Accommodation Office, based on the ground floor of Stafford Tower, opening hours Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 4.00pm, where staff are also available to support you with accommodation related issues particularly, but not exclusively room allocation and accommodation finance issues.   

Lakeside Reception is open Monday to Friday 07.00 – 22.00 and weekends Saturday 08.00 – 22.00 Sunday 08.00 – 18.00 to assist with all your queries.

Parcels can also be collected from Lakeside Reception Monday – Saturday 10.00 – 20.00 and Sunday 10.00 – 17.00

The Residence Tutors and Postgraduate Rota team are available out of hours including weekends to provide a system of pastoral care and welfare support for students residing on campus and can be contacted via Security

The Residential Services Team and residents on campus are fully supported by the University Security Department, whose office is located at the Main Building and is staffed 24 hours a day.
