Welcome to Aston’s Residential Services, the heart of Aston University life. Our Student Accommodation offers a University managed, safe, secure, modern and fun study environment in a green and landscaped 60-acre site, known as The Aston Triangle, right in the middle of the exciting centre of Birmingham.

One of the most important decisions you will need to make about your life as a student at Aston is where you want to live. Living on campus will allow you to experience the full range of academic and support services the University has to offer.

This web site will give you a comprehensive overview of all the accommodation options, both on the University campus and within the private sector, as well a good snapshot of an exciting life in Birmingham the UK’s second City.

A superb choice in on campus accommodation offers every student a range of living options to suit individual needs and budgets and make living in our University residences a very sociable and enjoyable experience.

All University accommodation is on campus and is self-catering, with individual study bedrooms, a shared kitchen, communal areas and bathroom facilities.

Our 1st phase new build Accommodation 1307 rooms) in the heart of the campus features the highest standards and recognises the importance of quality living in en-suite 5 and 7 bedroom units. Stafford Tower, (355 rooms) our high-rise accommodation, has excellent views of Birmingham city centre, and the campus. In Lakeside (647 rooms) all rooms have en-suite facilities, if privacy space and comfort are a priority.

All first year and International students are *guaranteed accommodation on campus. This is recognised as an invaluable part of the “student experience”; allowing students to enjoy the benefits of living with a diverse group of individuals from multi cultural backgrounds in a well managed safe and supportive environment.

Living on campus includes all utility costs and communal cleaning charges, so budgeting is easy. Both single sex and mixed sex accommodation is available (although not guaranteed) and we have a number of rooms adapted for special needs.

Eating is easy with a choice of venues on campus to suit every appetite including a new food court providing both dine in and takeaway facilities and a pleasant social environment; and our well-equipped and extensive sports facilities provide the opportunity to keep fit.

All on campus accommodation is covered by a Licence and the Conditions of Residence and Licence booklet and contained in the Student Information Pack. The Aston Triangle campus offers every service you need to ensure that your stay in our residences is successful and enjoyable. (We can also offer guidance and advice on off campus living).

New Applicants 2012/13 - the online application formwill be available on line from 14th March 2012. You will only be able to register using your nine-digit student number. If you do not have this number please contact the Admissions Office for the course you have applied to.

New Residences en-suite in a 5 bed unit £129.00 per week
New Residences en-suite in a 7 bed unit £121.00 per week

Lakeside en-suite - £116.00 per week
Standard (shared kitchen and bathroom) - £78.00 per week

The Licence periods:

International/EU (Non-British) Undergraduate students and International/EU (Non-British) Postgraduates is 40 weeks
Home Undergraduate students, Home Postgraduate students and all Returning students is 39 weeks
