In 2010 Aston applied for and achieved the Athena Swan Bronze Award, in recognition of our commitment to the advancement and promotion of the careers of women in Science, Engineering and Technology.

In particular we are working hard to:

  • improve the gender profile of our own SET departments and

  • help break down barriers to women’s advancement in SET more widely
