The Aston University netball second team have won their league in the BUCS Midlands Conference. They have had a fantastic season and have now been promoted to division 5b next season.
Going in to the last game of the season against Staffordshire University Aston University had to win to secure the title. In a contest Aston’s strength showed through in the end and the team won 27-24. Overall they won the league by 3 clear points - the team played 10 matches, won 8 and lost only 2!.
The netball club has had a great season with the first team doing well in their league and the club has also managed establish a third team who have played regularly throughout the season.
I think we would all like to say a huge well done to the netball team!
