Birmingham Hospital given coffee boost!

Nicolas Holzherr and Simon McCann

Co-Go coffee company will be donating a slice of its profits to the City’s children's hospital this week (12-18 April).

Co-Go Coffee To Go, the innovative coffee business launched by two Aston graduates, will be setting up their iconic coffee-shaped ‘pod’ outside the Bullring in Birmingham City Centre for the week, donating 20% of all turnover made to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Graduates Simon McCann and Nicolas Holzherr, launched their business in 2009 leading with the concept “morally-conscious coffee with a fair price tag.”

The entrepreneurs have tapped into a niche market in the coffee industry, offering their disposable cups as advertising space for organisations, helping to maintain competitive prices without comprising quality. A priority for the business is to establish Co-Go as a social enterprise by using fair trade ingredients, recycled materials and green energy wherever possible.

Simon McCann commented, 'We are thrilled to have the opportunity to help such a worthy cause, and be able to serve our coffee in such a prime location. We want to encourage graduate retention in Birmingham by showing the support and potential the city can offer to graduates who want to start up a business.'

Head down to the City Centre today and enjoy a Co-Go coffee or one of their famous Nutella hot chocolates, whilst doing your bit for charity.
