Kate Walsh, runner-up in this year’s Apprentice and Aston University alumna is a 'shining star' according to her lecturers in ABS.
Kate graduated from the business school in 2002 with BSc first class honours in Psychology and Management which, according to Senior Lecturer, Carol Parkes, put her in an ideal position to take this year’s Apprentice by storm.
'Kate understands people exceptionally well and that trait ensures that she will always get on with people and excel in everything she does,' said Carol. 'She’s committed and passionate and always comes across as being professional and in control at all times which is a real asset to any company.
'Aston Business School offers a perfect base for business minds like Kate’s. BSc’s and other similar qualifications at Aston are grounded and offer relevant learning that can be taken directly into the business. We’re so proud of her achievements and are really excited about her future which is certainly set to be exciting, eventful and very successful.'
ABS is no stranger to The Apprentice. Alex Wotherspoon, last year’s third place runner-up also studied at the School.
Michael West, Executive Dean of Aston Business School said: 'We are really proud of the achievements of all of our students and are thrilled that these individuals have applied their knowledge, creativity and innovation to such great effect on The Apprentice.
'Our school is in the top 1% of business schools in the world and we are always very proud to see our students doing so well and having such a passion for business, whatever they go on to do. We will continue to provide support to all our students, including Kate, as they go forward in their careers.'
