Julie Williams from ISA ran the London Marathon this year to raise money and support for Bowel Cancer UK.
The challenge is something Julie has wanted to do for a number of years and so she was delighted to take part in the race which took place on Sunday 26th April.
As part of her training plan she completed a half marathon in Stafford and in doing so beat her personal best, breaking the two hour barrier with a time of 1 hour 58 minutes.
Speaking before the event, Julie said: ‘I really wanted to do this run for a cancer related charity as cancer has affected my family in the past. I lost my Mom to cancer, so I will be doing this run for my Mom Mary. Hopefully she will be looking down on me on the day and willing me on.
‘Never having run 26 miles before I am unsure how quick I will be but I can guarantee that I will get to that finishing line!’
If anyone would like to support Julie, you can do so by clicking here. Her fundraising target is £1,000 so dig deep!
