Louise Jackson (LSS) is taking part in a 2.5 mile charity walk on Boxing day in aid of Birmingham Dogs Home. The money raised will assist the work of caring for stray and homeless dogs at the Centre in New Bartholomew Street, Birmingham.
She says: 'I do this walk every Boxing Day. It is a good way to walk off the over indulgence of Christmas Day and as a dog lover it is fantastic to help a worthwhile cause.'
Everyone is welcome to join the walk on the day (and bring their dogs for the walk!). The walk commences opposite the Visitors Centre, Sutton Park, Town Gate, Park Road, Sutton Coldfield at 10:30am on Boxing Day. There is free parking.
She is also taking tins of dog and cat food to the Dogs Home so if anybody has any spare then please pass them to Louise (in MB 775)and she will take them to the home. Old blankets and treats are good to donate too! Cat food is also welcome as due to the recession cats and kittens are being dumped at the home.
