After two successful events in 2007 and 2008, the Aston Corpus Symposium returned for its third year on 22nd May. The Symposium brought together experts in various corpus-related fields with topics covered including the use of corpora in EAP, language teaching, and translation. The Symposium was preceded by the Second Corpus Conference for Postgraduate Researchers which took place on 21st May.
Over 50 delegates attended the events on each day, coming from as far as the USA and Malaysia. As well as the stimulating discussions and presentations of previous years, this year saw the addition of a poster session to the postgraduate event.
