Between Wednesday 28 July and Wednesday 18 August, students from Hong Kong can visit Aston University virtually via a specially constructed exhibition stand at the British Council's first virtual exhibition.
The virtual booth is packed with information about the University, including YouTube videos, virtual tours of the campus and accommodation, and a live chat session on Wednesday 11 August with the International Officer for Hong Kong, Katy Friend.
Katy told Aspects, "The Virtual exhibition will be a fantastic platform to raise Aston’s profile to students in Hong Kong before the physical exhibition that takes place in Hong Kong on 21st and 22nd August. With the surge in the use of social media such as Facebook and Twitter across the globe, virtual exhibitions will no doubt become a popular marketing tool to supplement attendance at international student recruitments fairs. The Hong Kong virtual exhibition is an exciting way to enable Aston University to make contact with a target audience, promoting the institution, and receiving and responding to queries before we make face to face contact at the physical exhibition at the end of August.
"Just one of 14 Higher Education Institutions taking part, the Virtual Exhibition will allow Aston to engage with students thousands of miles away and gain market exposure at a strategically planned time when the HKCEE and HKALE are being released, and students and their parents are facing the critical time of making decisions on overseas study."
