Formation of country-specific interest groups

At the last International Strategy Committee we agreed to facilitate the setting up of a series of cross-University country-specific interest groups in our main areas of interest.

The remit of these Groups will be to further the development of our profile, presence and activity in that region, including advising those in the University who wish to start more activity in the region.  Membership of these self-managed groups should be anyone who can contribute to them across the University, including from each School, International Office, other departments and the Students’ Guild.

The countries/geographic areas which have been indentified for the first groups are:

  • India

  • China

  • Japan

  • Middle East

  • Korea

  • Vietnam

If you are interested in joining these groups please contact the following in your School:

Prof Gina Rippon (LHS)

Dr Beverly Adab (LSS)

Dr Matthew Hall (ABS)

Dr John Fletcher (EAS)

Professor Helen Higson (PVC External Relations) for all other areas or if you have ideas for additional cross-University groups.
