The Learning and Teaching Research group are holding a last minute presentation on Friday this week (22 January). We have a visitor from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
Our visitor Dr Keith Willey works in the Engineering Faculty at UTS and has developed a software package called SPARKPlus. The talk will be on the use of the software tool SPARKPlus to facilitate many different kinds of self and peer assessment. Keith will also discuss learning oriented assessment (assessment for learning not just of learning) including the need to develop student's judgement by involving them in the assessment process.
The presentation will take place from 1 – 2pm in SW308 preceded by a sandwich lunch from 12:30pm.
If you would like to attend, please could you RSVP to Zara Kendrick on z.v.h.kendrick1@Aston.ac.uk so that we can be prepared for numbers.
