Colleagues across the University are invited to attend an informal seminar aimed at those who wish to enhance their research activities by developing collaborative partnerships with national or overseas colleagues.
Speakers will provide personal insight on how they have developed and sustained collaborative research partnerships; the benefits and challenges; and how to maximise the opportunities they provide (such as, developing research grant proposals and how partnerships have led to research funding).
Speakers:
Professor Graham Hooley, Deputy Vice-Chancellor
Dr Roslyn Bill, Reader in Molecular Biosciences, School of Life & Health Sciences
Dr Dan Cornford, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, School of Engineering & Applied Science
Dr Prasanta Dey, Reader in Operations Management, Aston Business School
Dr Pierre Larrivée, Senior Lecturer in French Linguistics, School of Languages & Social Sciences
A panel discussion will follow the presentations, and participants will have the opportunity to discuss and share experiences.
The Research Development Managers from each of the Schools will also be present to answer questions and discuss funding opportunities.
