Tuesday 2nd June
The Centre for Learning, Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP) has arranged a workshop on Reflective Learning to be facilitated by Dr Jenny Moon.
Reflective learning is widely used to enhance student learning in higher education. It is the basis of learning journals, personal development planning and professional development. But what is it? This interactive workshop considers a definition for reflective learning, how we learn from it, the role of emotion in reflective learning and the ways in which we can assess it. We consider how to help students to start with reflective learning and how to improve the quality of that learning by deepening the reflection.
Dr Jenny Moon is an Associate Professor at Bournemouth University and also works as an independent consultant. She was awarded an NTF in 2006/7.
The workshop will take place in MB186 from 1-4pm. Sandwiches will be available from 12.30pm.
