Wednesday 1st July 2009
5.30 – 8.00pm
Dr Phil Extance, Pro Vice Chancellor for Knowledge Partnerships & Knowledge Transfer and Professor Pawan Budhwar, Director of the Aston-India Foundation, are pleased to invite you to the third seminar on India to foster and promote links between Indian and UK businesses.
There will be a drinks reception from 5:30pm prior to the start of the seminar at 6:15pm.
This event will be of particular interest to anyone who wishes to develop new relationships with Indian businesses, or strengthen existing ones. It will provide an insight into the various initiatives being pursued by both the British and India companies and related agencies on the theme of the seminar. There will also be some advice on how to access the help that is available through local organisations, as well as information on the work of the Aston-India Foundation.
The main presenters include Dr Philip Davies (Aston University), Professor Pradip Sen (IIT Delhi), Dr Clive Hickman (CEO, Tata Motors, European Technical Centre) and a colleague from Advantage West Midlands.
The event also promises to be an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded organisations from a range of sectors. Birmingham's Asian business community is well known for being a lively group which loves to 'talk business'. Colleagues from Aston University will be on hand and look forward to discussing opportunities for University-business collaboration.
If you would like to attend, please email the Aston-India Foundation team at osap@aston.ac.uk or call ext 3257.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Professor Pawan Budhwar
