Aston is to host the Association of Heads of University Administration (AHUA) Annual Conference next week. This is a very prestigious conference for which there are over 110 registered delegates. The conference takes place in Conference Aston 19 - 21 April, with an after dinner speech from Karren Brady on the Tuesday evening at the Birmingham City Council Chambers. Prof Julia King will open the conference and welcome participants on Monday morning.
Nicola Dandridge, recently appointed Chief Executive of Universities UK, will give the keynote presentation, and a team of people including Anna Fazackerley (www.policyexchange.org.uk), Will Hutton (www.theworkfoundation.com), Baroness Estelle Morris (www.guardian.co.uk/profile/estellemorris) and Phillip Blond (www.respublica.rg.uk) will be giving presentations on and discussing their visions for Higher Education.
AHUA is the representative body for senior University managers (typically Registrars, Chief Operating Officers, Heads of Administration) in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
