Staff and students can now travel around Birmingham in a stylish, cost effective and sustainable form of transport by using WhizzGo, Birmingham’s first pay-by-the-hour car club.
An economical Citroen C1 car is located on campus in Potter Street. Both staff and students can book it for as little as an hour at a time, costing £5.21 + VAT per hour, so it is ideal for business use. Figures from March showed that the car was used 19 times, totalling 489 miles and around 84 hours of use.
To take advantage of the convenience of WhizzGo, there is a small annual membership fee of £10 to join the programme. Members can also pre-book to make use of the fleet of WhizzGo cars which are located in 11 other cities across the UK.
