Order your University Christmas cards!

University Christmas cards can now be ordered

Dear All

It’s that time of year already and the University Christmas Cards are now ready to order. View the designs:

Design One (flare)

Design Two (swirl)

On the order form I have added an example line to show how to fill the form out, please delete the red text before sending to Clarity Print.

The greeting inside the card has been printed as follows:

Season’s Greetings

From

Please ensure that any extra messages/lines requested do not repeat this greeting and the message flows.

When ordering cards there is a minimum order of 50 and extra cards must be ordered in increments of 50, you can mix and match the designs for the same price so, for example if you order 25 of one design and 25 of another you would be charged for 50 cards. Envelopes are supplied with the cards. Personal messages can be added to the cards and there is a section on the order form where you can add your message.

Complete the order form and e-mail it to Andy Jackson at Clarity Print (andyj@theclaritygroup.co.uk).

You must provide a purchase order number, when raising an order via Agresso the supplier name is Clarity Print.

The designs are rather non-descript and no-one would guess they represent Aston. 'Festive' doesn't seem to be an option. Whatever happened to the photos of Aston under snow, even that would be preferable to this design, at least you knew where it was from. Would our external contacts prefer the money to be given to charity rather than a card, does anyone ever ask them? Perhaps we could do that next year?Sharen Lloyd01/12/2009 14:29:33
I agree about giving proceeds to charity. These cards aren't very festive looking. Whatever happened to baby Jesus, angels or snow-covered Christmas (fir) trees?Julie Woodhouse25/11/2009 12:24:50
An electronic Christmas card will shortly be available for all staff to use. Details will be announced via Aspects very soon!Louise Russell25/11/2009 10:03:24
Additionally why don't individual areas or the university as a whole donate money to a charity in lieu of christmas cards? We could buy a herd of goats or build a classroom for an overseas community to do something positive and useful with the money. Sharen Lloyd24/11/2009 17:37:48
With the current university strategy of directing Aston to become a more environmentally friendly institution, wouldn't electronic Christmas cards be the preferred option this festive season?Pamela Pinski24/11/2009 16:11:28
