LHS Laboratory

Our Centre for Learning Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP) is building a cross-university research community to explore the student learning experience in Higher Education. We’ll examine how it can be developed to better prepare students for employment and their role as the global citizens of the future.

We have a strong research reputation in employability and widening participation and this will be further developed by engaging researchers and colleagues at Aston and in other institutions.

Our research will capture the excitement and creativity of good teaching practice whilst also addressing the demands of today’s employers. We’ll examine how teaching strategies can be enhanced for today’s diverse, cross-cultural higher education system.

For enquiries related to Aston’s learning & teaching research, contact Professor Alison Halstead, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning & Teaching Innovation.
