Help and advice during Aston Welcome

Aunties 2011

If you want help or advice during Aston Welcome, or simply have a question, there are plenty of people who can help you.

Aston Aunties

The Aston Aunties will be around during Aston Welcome - they're here to help you settle in and to answer any questions you might have.

Aunties' helpdesk

Throughout Aston Welcome there will be an Aunties’ helpdesk located in the Martin Luther King multi-faith centre where you can drop by and ask any questions you may have.

The Hub Advice Zone

The Hub is your first point of call for any questions or information whilst you're at Aston. It brings our key student support services together in a single place, making it easy for you to access support and information. Its services include:

  • immigration advice for international and EU students
  • support for students with disabilities and additional needs
  • financial assistance and advice
  • a counselling service

Advice & Representation Centre (ARC)

The Advice & Representation Centre (ARC) is Aston Students' Union's independent representation unit. It provides Aston students with independent advice and representation.

Academic Arrival Guides (AAGs)

Our AAGs are current students from your School of Study. They will be available for the duration of Freshers' Week. They can answer queries about your course, IT facilities, directions and any other academic based questions you may have. You will be able to recognise them from their bright red t-shirts!
