The University Wide Language Programme (UWLP)

If you're an Aston student, a staff member or if you simply live in the local area, learn a language with our highly successful University Wide Language Programme. 

We are now taking applications for courses starting week commencing Monday 7 Oct 2013. Click here to apply. 

The deadline for applications for Aston students and staff is 12 midday on Friday 27 Sept 2103. 

The deadline for applications for non-Aston students and staff is 12 midday on Friday 20 September 2013.

We offer courses in:

• French, German and Spanish - from complete beginners to Undergraduate level
• Mandarin Chinese and Modern standard Arabic - from beginners to advanced level
• Portuguese (Brazilian) - from beginners to intermediate level 
• Japanese - beginners 

Deadline for Withdrawals/Refunds 2012/2013

• Withdrawals/refunds for newly enrolled students will be authorised up until 26/10/12. Any refunds issued will be subject to a charge of £50 to cover administration costs.

• Withdrawals/refunds for students who have been studying since October 2012 and do not wish to continue Teaching Period Two (Jan-May 2013)will not be authorised after 11/01/13. Any refunds issued will be subject to a charge of £50 to cover administration costs

• Withdrawals/refunds for students who have been studying since Jan 2013 (Teaching Period Two Jan-May 2013) and do not wish to continue will not be authorised after 1/2/13. Any refunds issued will be subject to a charge of £50 to cover administration costs

Withdrawals and Refunds Policy 2013/14

University Wide Language Programme (UWLP) course fees are non refundable but if you do wish to withdraw from a UWLP language course please notify the UWLP Course Director, Aurelia Robert by email for authorisation: a.robert@aston.ac.uk
