If you're an English Language, European Studies, International
Relations, Politics, Sociology or Public Policy student at Aston,
you'll have the option to take a placement year. Not only can you
choose to spend this year working in an
organisation in the UK, you may
choose to spend your time overseas - either
on a work placement, at an overseas university or as a
teaching assistant.
The placement year will provide you with a fantastic
opportunity to put your learning into practice, develop your skills and
knowledge and enhance your employment potential when you graduate. You
might also want to develop existing modern language skills (perhaps you
have a GCSE in French and wish to build on these skills) or learn a new
language.
You will find out more about your placement year options when you start your course. Alternatively, contact our Placements Team.
