Aston Centre for Europe (ACE) has been awarded two sets of grants to the value of approximately €35 000 by the
European Commission. The grants will be used to run four conferences over the next twelve months on the EU's policy agenda.
Soft Power, Hard Choices: Where next for the EU's Neighbourhood Policy?
The first of these, entitled '
Soft Power, Hard Choices: Where next for the EU's Neighbourhood Policy?' will focus on the the EU's relations with its eastern neighbours.
It will be held at the
Aston Business School, in association with the
Wider Europe Network and Media Contracta.
Others will follow in 2010 on green growth, the European Parliament elections of 2009 and the 20th anniversary of democratic change in Eastern Europe.
