These pages provide information about how academic staff can request library materials as well as information about how the library can support students' use of high-quality resources through information skills sessions. There is also a frequently asked questions Powerpoint show for academic staff on Library Matters on Blackboard.
If you would like to request a digital copy of a chapter of a book or a journal article for students to access via Blackboard, then information about the relevant copyright is available here. Alternatively, if you have used this service before and would like to request a digitised document, then please download and complete this form.
If we do not have what you want at Aston then please let us know. However, you may also wish to use books and printed journals in other university libraries. Library & Information Services participates in a scheme called SCONUL Access. Members of academic staff are normally able to borrow books from other libraries, although access to e-resources subscribed to from other libraries, is generally not possible.
