As your uniCARD is your swipe access card to the Library, you will need to replace a lost or stolen card after 3 visits if you want to continue to use the Library building. Please note that without your card, you will only be allowed entry into the Library 3 times and this must be when the Help desk is open: 09:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday and 10.00 - 13:00 Saturday.
If you lose your uniCARD or it has been stolen:
- please inform staff at the Help desk on the ground floor of the Library immediately so that we can prevent anyone else using the card to borrow books whilst you look for it
- you can request a day pass at the Library Reception desk to get in the Library building
- you will be required to provide proof of your identity and address e.g. driver's licence
- you can obtain a day pass up to 3 times so you must get a new card if you do not find it
- new cards can be obtained from the ISA Help desk on the 4th floor of the Main Building at a cost of £10.00. (If your card has been stolen and you have a crime reference number from the police, then there is no charge.)
- don't forget to the let the Library know if you find your card so that we can re-activate borrowing rights
If you forget your uniCARD:
- you can request a day pass at the Library Reception desk in order to get in to the Library building.
- you will only be allowed entry on 3 occasions without your card in any one academic year
If you have lost personal property in the Library:
- please ask staff at the Reception desk in case it has been handed in
- if Reception staff in the Library cannot help you, then please contact Security in the Main Building
