During examination periods, the Library will be open for 24 hours, 6 days a week.
For this academic year these periods are:
Throughout 24/6 the Library is open all the time from 11:00 on Sunday mornings through to 18:00 on Saturday evenings.
Self-service facilities are available throughout 24 hour opening.

During 24/6 opening there will be Stewards only from 22:00 weekdays (17:00 on Sundays), they will be responsible for the safety of students and the security of the Building. They will ensure that Library regulations are followed at all times. Any visitors who have been admitted on a day pass or Regular Visitor Card will be asked to leave the building at 21:30 (17:00 on Sundays) and Stewards will check uniCARDs. An announcement is made 15 minutes before the Library Help desk closes and again 15 minutes before the building closes.

Library Regulations - main things to remember:

Always carry your uniCARD and show it if asked to do so.

Light food and snacks can be consumed on the ground floor, as well as drinks. Only resealable drinks are allowed on the upper floors - no food. Some hot snacks are available to purchase from the cafe but hot food must not be brought into the Library.

Mobile phones can be used on the ground floor and in designated phone zones.

No smoking inside or within 5 metres of the building.

Silent study on designated floors - third floor is always silent study and second floor is silent study during most examinations periods

Laptops can be plugged into the power sockets, providing there are no trailling cables.
