Individuals may apply for personal membership of the University Library, provided you are not a student elsewhere.

How do I join the library?

You will need to bring proof of name and address and complete a registration form (also available from the Library). You will also need to bring two passport sized photographs with you. Your visitor card will be ready for you to collect within one week.  This card needs to be shown to Reception staff to gain access to the building and for borrowing books.

Is there a charge?

Yes, £60 per year.

Can I borrow books?

Yes, you may borrow a total of 6 books at any one time. (You will not be able to borrow short loan books or journals.) Fines will be charged on overdue books.

Can I access electronic resources?

No

How long does my membership last?

12 months. This is renewable on request.
