As a retired member of Aston staff you are entitled to retain your Library membership.

How do I join the library?

You will need proof of your past employment at the University, for example official letters or documentation, unless very recent details are still held at the University. You will also need to bring two passport sized photographs.
You will need to come to the Help desk on the ground floor during serviced hours. You will then be asked to complete a registration form, either in advance or collect one from the Library. Your visitor card will be ready for you to collect within one week.  This card will be used for borrowing books and for gaining entrance to the building.

No

Can I borrow books?

Yes, you may borrow a total of 6 books at any one time. (You will not be able to borrow short loan books or journals.) Fines will be charged on overdue books.

Can I access electronic resources?

You can access many of our online resources (with some restrictions) if you bring in your own laptop and request a username and password from the Help desk.

How long does my membership last?

12 months. Renewable on request.
