Thomas Cox, pharmacy student

Thomas Cox, MPharm Pharmacy

"I chose Aston for two main reasons. Firstly, the course has such a good reputation amongst UK pharmacy schools and secondly, the campus is situated right in the centre of Birmingham.

"Student life here is brilliant. There are so many activities to get involved with - both on the sports side and course-related and you get to meet different students from all over the University.

"The MPharm Pharmacy course itself is fantastic - really industry focused so the information you learn is invaluable in your professional life.”

Student profile

Neha Pandya, MSc Drug Delivery

Neha Pandya

“I work in the Analytical Research and Development department of 3M Health Care Ltd., as a Senior Analytical Technician. It is a six months on-going contract role. I see it as the best kick start to my career. My key responsibilities are: generate, record and report analytical data in line with departmental procedures, to standards of compliance designated by external Regulatory bodies and internal Company procedures. I am currently working on a metered dose inhaler related project within the company.

"I believe my MSc Drug Delivery project on ‘Development of metered dose inhalers containing proteins’ made my curriculum vitae stand strong for this role. In addition to the improvement of my technical skills, the degree helped me develop organisational, interpersonal and time management skills.

"Always ready to help, Aston University staff made the journey through my degree easy and enjoyable. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude towards my lecturers, especially my project supervisor Dr. Peter Seville for his invaluable support, supervision and guidance throughout the research work. I am also grateful to laboratory assistants, Mr. Chris Bache and Ms. Christine for their technical assistance.”
